General

Wptonline was launched in January 2006 and has since then become a popular poker room in the online poker community. With wagerworks software and attractive promotions like free entry to wpt satellites that could send you to a televised WPT tournament they will indeed grow rapidly during 2006.

WPTOnline.com has grown its player database enormously in the beginning of 2006. Since they are the online poker room that represents the very successful Television show WPT they don't have the uphill in marketing like a lot of new pokersites have. They offer Texas Holdem No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Limit, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo Pot-Limit and Limit, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Pot-Limit and Limit games.

Software providers are Wagerworks, which is, know to provide high quality software for the gaming industry. The software in the lobby has standard easy navigated graphics and when sitting in on a game you will notice the red and blue interface know from the WPT Television series.

The servers are stable and solid. WPTonline has to be a first class poker room to carry the weight from the success of the WPT show and they have created stable software including the servers even if the graphical feeling isn't yet optimized. The traffic isn't huge for wptonline.com yet so the real test will be with visitors over 10,000 and more but for now they are solid.

The traffic is growing fast. Although the difference between peak hours and no peak hours compared is quite big. Currently the traffic is up to 3500 at peak hours and 500 players outside the peak hours. 

Software

As we mentioned their software provider is Wagerworks. We have conflicting opinions about the software. The lobby feels like an older version of Prima Poker with easy navigated buttons. From the table view though it is a high quality experience without avatars or 3D characters.

The WPTonline software is fast but they should update the login panel, which really reminds you of a Java based game. The servers at this poker room works flawlessly and without interruptions. We will have to wait a little more when the traffic reaches up to 15000 online poker players and more to really know how they will work but we don't think it will never be a problem with WPT online.

The stats and note feature is average. You will have the option to write notes on each player but there are no avatars and graphic to assign the players yet. With hand history and fun money playing poker option they provide you with all the basics of a standard poker site.

Traffic

With a peak traffic of 3500 and bottom traffic of 400 online poker players it is what to be expected from a new poker room. Wptonline is on an independent network and 3500 online poker players already show you how attractive this poker room is going to be.

The players in here are mixed, very mixed. You will find everybody both fishes and sharks. They are mainly here to play the free or low buy-in satellites for the televised WPT shows.
