T.J Cloutier has managed to win 6 World Series Of Poker bracelets and has with this accomplished to climb up in the top 10 of all time won WSOP bracelets. He is known for his super aggressive play and is considered to be one of best tournament player in the world. He is the author of several interesting poker books as well.
T.J Cloutier was born 1939 in Albany, California. He is today married with Joy and together they have six children. The Cloutier family lives in Richardson, Texas. After he graduated from Jefferson High School in Daly City he went to university at Berkley, University of California. In the university he played both baseball and football and in 1959 he played the Rose Bowl. He later dropped out of the University because of family financial issues.
He was drafted into the Army where he learned the magical game of poker. Playing a lot with his mates he realized that this was something he was good at. When he later left the army he started to play football in a Canadian football team, Montreal Allouettes. He was later moved to Toronto Argonauts. Unfortunately a knee injury ended his football career and he started up a food company, Bets Quality Foods, with his father. This was however not successful and it didn't take long until T.J moved to Texas to work on oilrigs. It was here the poker player T.J was born and when he realized that he could earn more cash playing poker then work he quit the day job.
Several famous player rank T.J as number one. His aggressive style of play has given him six World Series Of Poker bracelets. He is now amongst the big legend like Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan but he still misses a Main Event win.

He got a poker hand named after his name; J9 of clubs is called T.J Cloutier. This is because he managed to flop 3 flushes with in one year and has won several hands playing this. This is his favourite hand and he never lays this hand down if he hits the flop.
