Poker bonuses are commonly used all over Internet by the poker rooms. The bonus can be given in the form of a gift, extra money, free tournament ticket or similar when the player makes a deposit at the poker room. The type of poker bonus that is used the most is the free money bonus where the player receives extra cash upon a deposit.
Here are some poker bonus offers we currently provide our visitors:
If this is the first time you see a poker bonus it might seem complicated with all the percentages etc but its not that hard to understand.
EX1: 100% up to $200 Free Upon first deposit.
This bonus offer will give you a maximum of $200 Free. In order to receive the full bonus in this case you will have to deposit $200 because 100% of $200 is $200. Lets make another example:
EX2: 50% up to $200 Free Upon first deposit
This offer will also give you a maximum bonus of $200 but in order to receive the full $200 you will have to deposit $400 since its only 50%. If the bonus were 200% then in order to receive the full bonus a deposit of $100 would have been enough. Please note that one is not obligated to deposit the full amount.
If a bonus offer at a poker room is 100% up to $500 Free and I decide to deposit at this poker room. I am not interested to deposit $500 this time although I know that’s the amount to deposit for the full bonus. Let's say I deposit $150. I will now be eligible for a $150 bonus like this:
EX3: $150 x 100% = $150 x 1 since 100% equals too 1, 200% equals too 2 etc
Further, for almost every poker bonus offer there are special terms in order to clear and receive the bonus. Imagine if you would make a deposit and instantly would receive the poker bonus transferred into your cashiers account, this would make the poker company loose a lot of money; instead there are certain terms specific for each bonus and poker room.
The answer of what the terms are usually involves a certain number of hands to be played or collecting points within a specific time period. Note that the poker bonus is not counted as a raked hand if played at Micro limit tables, the minimum table is generally $0.25/$0.50 in order for the hand to count as a raked hand and towards the bonus. When collecting points (if the poker room uses this) toward the poker bonus, generally, the player will be awarded more points the higher the table limits are, which speeds up the time it takes to have the bonus released.
The play through rules could be for example 10 X the bonus. Using EX3 above we would need to play $150 x 10 = $1500. How this $1500 is calculated differs from site to site.
Reading the terms at the Website of the poker room you are playing at will give you all the information about the bonus and the play through/clear rules. |
